Growing your own cooking ingredients is such a rewarding hobby, but many people think they have to have a garden to get growing. Not true! There are loads of ideas of ways to get your growing going. As long as you have a light filled position and, depending on the varieties of crops you are growing, some direct sunlight as well, anybody can enjoy the benefits of growing.
Find an old pallet and convert it into a herb garden. Pop it out on your balcony.
It won't take up much room, allows a number of plants to be grown and is easy to maintain and water.
To get this clever vertical garden going, all you will need is some weed cloth, a staple gun or tacks, potting mix and herb seedlings.
Use the weed cloth to cover the bottom of each rung.
The staple gun or tacks will do the trick.
Then fill with potting mix and plant out your seedlings.
Be sure to water liberally.
